SHF - Equestrian Division is dedicated to keeping horses in as natural an environment as possible, as well as providing beginner-intermediate lessons, while being conveniently located right in North Bay.

Our Story
WHO WE ARE
We are a boarding facility offering a natural way to keep your horses. We do not allow shoes unless there is an absolute need or a medical requirement. We have a designated spot for all boarders tack and equipment and a helper is never too far away. If boarders want some helpful tips or "lessons", our own Kaity Etches is available to help. As the farm is constantly improving and changing we hope to create more areas and trails for the horses. As of April 2014, we have 5 paddocks, a temporary riding ring and a small round pen. We hope to build a permanent riding ring and expand to accommodate more paddocks.

Sheila works round the clock to ensure the horses are safe, happy and healthy, while working a full time job off the farm. She is always ready to offer a helping hand and answer any questions about our philosophy.
KAITY ETCHES
BARN MANAGER/ COACH
Kaity works daily to provide assistance, care for the horses, deals with boarders and clients, as well as offering beginner to intermediate lessons and basic horse care education.

ALL THE ANSWERS TO YOUR QUESTIONS
IF I AM A BOARDER, CAN I GO TO THE FARM ONLY AT THE DESIGNATED HOURS?
If you are a boarder, you are able to come at anytime you would like to visit your horse. Just know lessons will not go on past the times posted, and any questions , unless an emergency, will have to wait until we are open to the public again.
WHAT ALL DO YOU OFFER?
We offer natural horse boarding, based off of Paddock Paradise, beginner-intermediate lessons, pony rides, free choice horse minerals for sale and natural pest control ( Diatemacious Earth) for sale.
ARE LESSONS ONLY FOR KIDS? ABLE-BODIED PEOPLE?
Lessons are for anyone and everyone! Whether you're 5 years old or 85 years old, it's never to late to start a new hobby.

We have experience coaching people with both physical and mental disabilities. We take great care to customize lessons to every persons needs, and take into account any special needs required to help every ride be a safe and enjoyable one!
WHAT IS OFFERED WHEN I BOARD MY HORSE HERE?
We offer access to hay 24/7, in both the winter and summer Himalayan salt blocks, free choice minerals and diatemaceous earth ( natural wormer).

All horses will have access to paddocks with fresh grass, use of both the arena and round pen, use of on property trails and access to off property trails, a tack cubby to keep your tack and equipment in and have acess to our vet and farrier if you don't have one of your own.

If your horse requires a blanket ( though we strongly suggest you don't unless absolutely necessary) you will be responsible for putting on the blanket unless you've asked the staff to as a favour. If you feed your horse extra supplements or feed, you will be responsible for feeding them.

If you will be away for some time and need us to feed and blanket your horse we will as long as it is arranged before hand.
HOW MUCH ARE LESSONS AND BOARDING?
Board: $282.50 hst included/ Month
Private Lesson: $25/Hour
Private Lesson Package: $250/ 11 Lessons
Group Lesson: $15/ Hour per person
Group Lesson Package: $150/11 Lessons per person
